  1. Who is eligible to register for Park Points?
    Anyone who resides in the City of Chicago or nearby areas and regularly visits Chicago Park District locations and/or participates in Chicago Park District programs is eligible to register, earn and redeem Park Points as a member. Members must be 18 years of age or at least 13 years of age and have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Chicago Park District reserves the right to cancel any account and reclaim any previously awarded Park Points to any member not meeting this criteria.
  2. How will I know when and where I can earn Park Points?
    The Park Points website, found at www.chiparkpoints.com will be regularly updated with each new opportunity to earn Park Points. Additionally, members will receive regular emails updating them about new opportunities to earn Park Points. You may also follow the Chicago Park District Facebook and Twitter accounts who will from time to time alert members about opportunities to earn Park Points.
  3. Can I still register for Park Points even if I don’t have certain social media accounts?
    Yes. You only need a valid email address to register for Park Points. However, if you do not have certain social media accounts that are linked to Park Points, you will not be eligible for those earn opportunities.  While some of opportunities to earn will be through social media accounts, there will be a variety of other opportunities for members to earn points.  
  4. How often will the Marketplace be updated?
    The Marketplace will be updated with new experiences for bid on a regular basis, so check back often to see what is new!
  5. How many Marketplace items may I bid on at a time?
    As long you have the minimum number of Park Points available in your account, you may bid on as many Marketplace items as you’d like to.
  6. What happens once I win an auction?
    When you win an auction you will receive an email confirming that you are the winner. You will then be contacted by a Park Points representative to coordinate the fulfillment of your experience.
  7. How long do I have to redeem an experience that I’ve won on the Marketplace?
    Each experience has different restrictions and fulfillment requirements. Please make note of all of these before you bid on an experience.
  8. Do my Park Points expire?
    No. You may bid using your Park Points at any time. 
  9. I just checked-in on Foursquare, at a Park and did not receive any Park Points, why not?   
    Be sure you have connected your Foursquare account at the earn section.  https://chiparkpoints.com/earn .  Verify the location you checked-in is a valid Earn Offer and try again.  If you still have not received points, please contact customer support by submitting a request. 
  10. I bid on an experience in the marketplace. Why were my points just returned to my account?
    Your points are automatically returned to your account whenever you are out-bid by another Park Points member. The member with the highest bid upon expiration will win the auction.
  11. Why am I not receiving points for my Instagram activity?
    Sometimes, if you have been logged in to Instagram for an extended period of time, you will need to log out of Instagram, log back in, and then post your picture/caption again to properly recieve points. If you have done this and are still not recieving points, please "Submit a Request".
  12. Need to cancel your account?
    Aww, we'd hate to see you go but if you must,  please "Submit a Request".
